After a long pause, I’m happy to return to this blog with a soft unveiling — and a new beginning.
As the first Grasse Perfume Week begins next week — a new tradition in the world’s perfume capital — I’m taking this opportunity to quietly unveil a new creation from 1000 Flowers.
It’s called Figuier Sauvage. (Wild Fig Tree)
Inspired by the fig trees that grow wild across the Mediterranean — their green leaves, milky sap, and sun-ripened fruit — this fragrance is a love letter to the sultry heat of summer, to skin warmed by sunlight, to stone walls and cicadas and the sweet breath of the land.
This is not a formal launch. Figuier Sauvage is still ripening.
Instead, during Grasse Perfume Week (July 3–5), I invite visitors to come and smell the perfume-in-progress at the 1000 Flowers boutique in the old town of Grasse. There, you’ll find a bottle ready to be discovered, along with a small artistic notebook — where we welcome you to share your impressions, critiques, or what the scent evokes for you.
Does it remind you of a place? A feeling? A colour?
I would love to hear it.
Miniatures will also be available for those who feel a connection and wish to take some home.
If you’d like to be notified when the official full launch happens, you can sign up here:

About Grasse Perfume Week
This year marks the first-ever Grasse Perfume Week, a biannual celebration of the living heritage of perfumery in the Pays de Grasse. Organized by NEZ Magazine, and the region’s key players — from historic houses to independent creators — the event showcases the cultural and creative richness of this iconic terroir, from field to flacon.
I’m honoured to be taking part — and hope to welcome you during this week of open doors, conferences, and artistic encounters.
With summer warmth from Grasse,
Jessica
Independent Nose, 1000 Flowers Perfumer

P.S. If you’re curious to learn more about the world of perfumery — from formulation techniques to the raw beauty of natural ingredients — I invite you to explore my new teaching space in Grasse: the 1000 Flowers Academy
This is where I now offer in-person masterclasses and professional training, rooted in tradition, sustainability, and a deep respect for the art and science of scent.
